What type of insurances do you accept?
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. We will handle as much of your insurance questions and needs as possible.
We accept the following insurances: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, United Health Care, Cigna, Oxford, Medicare, Safeguard, Beech Street, Director’s Guild, Screen Actor’s Guild, Writer’s Guild, PacifiCare, GEHA and PHCS. If you do not see the name of your insurer, please ask the staff about it at the time of booking your appointment.

I would like to visit the Torrance location, can I walk-in or do I need an appointment?
Visits at the Torrance location are available through appointment only. This location is available to our patients for added convenience and is only staffed during scheduled appointments. If you have questions please call our main office in Beverly Hills at (310) 273-2333.

All of our physicians are dedicated to providing the highest level of treatment with personalized care because your vision is our number one priority. We are committed to answering all patient questions, both during and after appointments, and are available after-hours for emergencies. We want you to be armed with knowledge about any treatment or procedure so that you are comfortable and at ease when being treated.
Do you do routine eye exams and screenings and provide prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses?
Yes, these services are provided daily at our Beverly Hills location and by appointment in Torrance. We use state-of-the-art equipment to perform these services on patients of all ages. For more information view our General Services page.

I just made my first appointment, what medical and other information do I need to bring with me?
For your first visit to Beverly Hills Institute of Ophthalmology we would like you to bring a list of medications that you currently take and any glasses and/or contacts that you wear. Also, please bring your insurance cards and photo ID. You can also take care of some of the paperwork online before you come in. Fill out these online patient forms to save time on the day of your appointment.

Can the Doctors and my Optometrist work together in managing my eye care?
Yes, our founding doctors encourage a teamwork approach to everything we do. If you already have an optometrist and are coming to Beverly Hills Institute of Ophthalmology for a specific procedure one of our experienced and capable physician’s will handle your surgery while coordinating pre-operative and post-operative care with your primary eye care provider or Optometrist.
What are your payment options?
Co-payments, co-insurance and payment for service that are not covered by insurance must be rendered at the time of the visit. We gladly accept personal checks, Visa, Master Card, American Express and debit cards.

We appreciate your referral. Please have your friend call our office or fill out our online form to request an appointment.
I take my health very seriously and like to know everything I can about a doctor's examination and treatment. How do the doctors feel about patients who ask a lot of questions about their care?
We take your health very seriously as well, and encourage questions so that you understand your condition and how your treatment is designed specifically for you. We encourage every patient to write down questions that they want to ask the doctor or staff before their visit. It’s important to us that our patients understand the care we provide to them.
Another doctor has recommended I have eye surgery. I'd like to get a second opinion from you before making a decision. How should I proceed?
You may call our office and request an appointment for a surgical second opinion. Our experienced surgeons will try to provide you with the information that you need to make a well-informed decision regarding your surgery.
I think I am having an eye emergency. Can you see me today?
If you feel you have a condition that requires immediate treatment we want to see you and will make every attempt to fit you in that same day. There may be some wait time while we make an opening for you but will attend you as soon as possible.
If you feel your condition is a life threatening medical emergency please call 911.
I have a question about my eyes but I don't want to make an appointment to see the doctors, what should I do?
You can always call and leave a message for your doctor he/she will get back to you as soon as is possible.
